There are eight opponents to defeat for the Battle of Khaz Algar achievement using a full team of level 25 pets. However, if you just want to get the world quest done or do not have a collection of max-level pets, you can use low-level teams because they will match the highest-level pet in your team.
Pet Battle Addons
I don’t use many mods but these are my must-have addons for pet battling.
- Rematch – An enhanced pet battle journal including the ability to save teams and filter pets (see video)
- Battle Pet Breed ID – Shows breeds of all pets. Why are breeds important?
- Family Familiar Helper – To help track the achievement, I highly recommend this addon. It’s an easy way to see which families you still need to complete for any Family-type meta. Here’s a video on how it works.
Battle on Khaz Algar
Awakened Custodian (48, 32) can be found very close to the Pearlescent Shellcrab treasure in the Isle of Dorn. Defeat this legendary for the Robot Rumble world quest.
Guttergunk (61, 68) can be found around Tenir’s Ascent in Hallowfall. Defeat this legendary for the following world quest The Thing from the Swamp.
Zaedu (53, 31) is a legendary beast found north of The Weaver’s Lair in Azj-Kahet. Look for the world quest One Hungry Worm.
Kyrie (52, 62) stands by a fishing shack in Hallowfall. Defeat her team for the Miniature Army world quest. Her team consists of Flicker (Flying), Sir Pounce (Beast) and the Mini Airship (Mechanical).
Haywire Servobot (66, 58) is a legendary mechanical close to Taelloch in The Ringing Deeps. Defeat this legendary for the Major Malfunction world quest.
Collector Dyna (38, 78) can be found in the mountains behind Freywold Village on the Isle of Dorn. She has 3 elementals on her team – Ridge (Epic), Stratus (Rare) and the Tiny Cragling (Rare). Defeat her team for the Rock Collector world quest.
Friendhaver Grem (51, 37) can be found at the Shadowvein Extractor Mine in The Ringing Deeps. He has 2 epic pets Rufus (Beast), Takey-Take (Critter) and rare Bubs (Critter) on his team. Look for the world quest – The Power of Friendship.
Ziriak ( 61, 37) can be found in The Burrows section of the City of Threads (lower), Azj-Kahet. She has Tickler (Undead), Four-Legs (Beast), and Swoopgrasp (Flying) on her team. Defeat her 3 spiders for the Ziriak world quest.
Family Battler of Khaz Algar
Only four require family-type achievements so it shouldn’t take long to complete each one.

By the way, the pets I choose may not always give the fastest result. I mean, why carry more than 1700 pets if you don’t get to see them in action now and then?
