Mechagon and Nazjatar Pets – 8.2

The Rise of Azshara will introduce a number of mechanical pets from the new zone Mechagon and a number of new models from Nazjatar. We can also look forward to the new pet dungeon in Stratholme. Here’s what we know so far.

Achievement

Burnout – Malowned requires you to defeat Postmaster Malown in a pet battle. (see video)

Kelpfin – Team Aquashock requires you to defeat all the challenges in Mechagon and Nazjatar and capture all the pets in both zones (see video).

Island Expedition

Two new maps were added in Patch 8.2. The pets can come from the crates sold by the two NPC Salvage Experts standing near the Island Expedition area in Dazar’alor and Boralus.

Adventurous Hopling – can either come from Snowblossom Village or drop from the Snowblossom Salvage.
Ghostly Whelpling – can either come from the Crestfall Island Expedition or dropped from the Crestfall Salvage.

OOX-35/MG (cageable)- First locate a Dismantled OOX-35/MG on the island of Mechagon (similar to the Darkmoon Tonks you need to repair for ENG). Use 25x Spare Parts (zone resource) to repair it but you may need to repair a few (or 13) before you actually get the pet (see video).

Junkyard Tinkering

Once you’ve unlocked 20 Junkyard Tinkering blueprints for the Junkyard Collector achievement, Pascal offers you the quest – Ideas Can Come From Anywhere. All you have to do is chat to various NPCs in Rustbolt and the 2 questgivers in Bondo’s Yard. This should get you to 52/100. You can fill the remaining bar by killing robots on the island. Completing this quest allows you to upload a number of new schematics to Pascal-K1N6 including the following two blueprints. Note: they still need to be unlocked by looting the blueprint.
