The last two days, I was finally able to run the updated Kara and Suramar dungeons and finish the quest I’d picked up two months ago. The quest randomly popped after my first and only Chronomatic Anomaly kill in The Nighthold. From what I’ve read, it seems to be a fairly low drop. The quest reads:

You find a mysterious cube. Its design is unfamiliar but unmistakably ancient. The cube’s surface is inlaid with magical runes. Though inert, its properties may be worth investigating. Perhaps if you show it to Dariness the Learned in Dalaran, she could tell you more about it.

Excitement! Could this be the pet I designed several years ago?

Dariness asks you to infuse the cube with 300 Ancient Mana. When that doesn’t work, you need to collect an item from the Mana Devourer’s room in Upper Karazhan. The final quest rewards the Memory Cube allowing you to relive pivotal moments in the battle against the Legion.

A few days ago, Cool told me he could make the new cloth engineering goggles but was a little disappointed he had all the schematics but plate. Today I surprised him after just looting the Heavy Skullblasters schematic from my third Boon of the Builder cache. Needless to say, he was anxious for me to make them. Thankfully, he was pretty happy with the stat combo but when it came to mine, I scored a whole lot of versatility. Well, no thank you. Funnily enough, I usually have good RNG when it comes to crafting gear but for Cool, not so much. I joked it was because I was logging into another character at the time but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

We decided to see if there were any Tailored Skullblasters in the AH and there was – a haste/crit pair. It was a reasonable price so I ended up swapping mine for the ones in the AH. Not sure if I’ll be able to make (most) my money back but here’s hoping. A couple of minutes later, I noticed a loot bag I hadn’t opened from defeating the last boss in Kara. Holy Crap! Wicket’s Witches Hat. That’s TWO headpiece upgrades – both 880 – within a few minutes of each other.

Oh, and I made a pretty exciting milestone on youtube yesterday.
