Anthony “Tony” Stark was born with extreme intelligence. He inherited Stark Enterprises after the death of his parents at age 21. While wounded in a war zone, he built an armored suit that would help keep him alive. Stark played a dual-role with the formation of The Avengers both as the sponsor and, as Iron Man. Originally, Tony Stark had no powers of his own, he depended on his armored suit for all of his super abilities, until he injected himself the Extremis virus and later had an arc reactor implanted in his chest, gaining new abilities and intellect.

Finding pieces that either matched the look or colours of the Iron Man suit proved quite difficult. Some of the best-coloured pieces didn’t necessarily look like plate while others matched the look but didn’t offer much of the same vivid colour. I experimented with a lot of plate and mail pieces before I decided on this final design.
