When I first read about Jstmel’s transmog contest I was intrigued. Designing sets around the colours of the rainbow is such a simple concept but one which hasn’t been tackled before (as far as I know) so I couldn’t resist designing a red set for February – the colour of love aka Valentine’s Day.
Hopefully I’ll get a chance to create some new mogs for my Armed and Dangerous series because there’s one set I’d like to improve but I’ll see how I go.
Red sets tend to gravitate towards my Little Red Riding Hood and Wonder Woman costumes but I wanted to build a set around a different gown. I ended up getting a pretty strong blood elf mage feel which includes the Mantle of the Elven Kings above.
In Ancient Egypt, Sekhmet was described as a goddess of war with the head of a lion and destructive, burning nature of the sun. In light of that, I thought it only fitting that she use the Mantle of Three Terrors as a substitute.
Cowl of the Grand Engineer, Ruthless Gladiator’s Drape of Diffusion, Bloodfyre Robes of Annihilation, Muddied Crimson Gloves, Fire-Cord of the Magus, Sandals of Arcane Fury, Vengeful Gladiator’s War Staff
Now to see if I can get that love rocket and mask this year
She looks beautiful yet deadly!
Thx!
Such a pretty set, both versions!
The red is my favorite of that style of robe because it has such a lovely glowing stained glass window look to it. Using the Tirisfal recolor items with is a stroke of genius!
Thx Kam, I’ve always loved the look of the gown with those recoloured shoulders especially.
Google ftw. I have something that we need to do as soon as you get home. Happy reading. Log into the Guild site if you want to chat.
I absolutely love that hood. It looks lovely and ever so slightly scary :)
Thanks!
I love it :D
Thank you :)
