I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve transmogged my gear since 4.3 went live. Since a few of my costumes have prompted a couple of posts, take Karegina and Mataoka as examples. I thought I’d include some of my most recent outfits. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, which appears to be true. So here’s the second post in my next series of ‘Mog Me’ posts involving my past transmog sets.
Helm: Heroes’ Crown of Faith
Shoulder: Vindicator Shoulderpads
Chest: Alanna’s Embrace
Waist: Ruthless Gladiator’s Cord of Accuracy
Hands: Handwraps of the Incarnate
Feet: Barbaric Cloth Boots
Weapon: Staff of Immaculate Recovery
Alternate Options
Hands: Soulcloth Gloves
Feet: Footwraps of the Oracle
I’ve also entered this costume in Round One of the Mog Madness contest. If you’d like to see what Round One involved:
Mog Madness Round One:
- When: March 12th – March 23rd (judging results revealed March 25th)
- Who: Open to anyone who wishes to enter.
- How: Send an e-mail with your screenshot(s) to arcanewordsmith@gmail.com or post your entry on the Mog Madness page of Amateur Azerothian, Tome of the Ancients, or Effraeti’s RP.
- Mog Requirement: The first round of Mog Madness merely requires a cloth outfit. That means Mages, Warlocks, and Priests are all open season for your submissions (though no using class-specific gear outside of the class you choose to use -so no Mages in something like this).
I admit when looking through the entries, a couple looked similar to sets I’ve created before. The good news is I made the Top 20 which means I go into Round Two.
I like Alanna’s embrace. Goes well with your hair.
Who’s the Man-nequin next to you? He sets off your outfit nicely, well except for the bubble gum.
Serious question though, how much research do you guys do into these things, I envisage hours in thottbot or wowwiki or some such looking at the hundreds of items for each slot?
@Navimie – Thx Nav.
@Mabaho – That’s Coolidge ;P The pic was part of an animated gif I created for a bubblegum post – http://bubblesofmischief.wordpress.com/2012/01/02/through-your-interface-10/
Playing this game so long it’s pretty easy to find items that would go well together, as well as the AH. There’s also an addon that I find really handy called Mogit
I have a fire mage outfit I need to get together. It’s not ‘done’ yet. But it will be!!
