One of the first things to notice is that we’ll only be using two JC slots now instead of three: Here’s an example: Delicate Serpent’s Eye which you’ll be able to cut once you reach 550 skill level.
Jeweled Onyx Panther
The BIG thing I’ll be looking forward to is the panther mounts you’ll be able to make at max level; namely the Sunstone Panther, Jade Panther, Ruby Panther and the Sapphire Panther which combine into one very cool Jeweled Onyx Panther flying mount. Good news for non-JCs is that they are BoE.
The main thing that concerns me now is the price for each one. On the other hand, you won’t see too many of them around so that’s a perk, at least for a while.
This is what they look like at the moment, so far they’ve already had a re-skin.
All recipes can be purchased from the Order of the Cloud Serpent Quartermaster once you’re exalted with the faction.
So who’s looking to make one or more come Mists? I know I plan to make the set.
Pets
Two pet designs will come from the profession – the Sapphire Cub and Jade Owl. They can drop from:
-
inside your Treasures of the Vale (the reward from doing my Golden Lotus Dailies)
-
the Ancient Guo-Lai Cache or
-
a small chance to discover the design from your Serpent’s Heart daily transmute
Even though the design is BoP, the pet itself is not.
The Jade Owl will need:
-
3x Wild Jade
Jade is naturally rich with life and color, making it the perfect raw material for this gentle companion. It is said the wind created by their wings can soothe the troubled mind.
The Sapphire Cub will need:
-
3x Spirits of Harmony
While each cub is crafted in the same fashion, tiny imperfections in the gemstones create a unique personality when imbued with life. They are, however, always playful and friendly.
Due to a recent hotfix (11 Dec 2012) Mumper confirmed that all future crafted pets would be uncommon quality by default. In another hotfix (12 Dec 2012) any previously made pets which were less than uncommon quality have been upgraded to uncommon.
The Flawless Elemental Battle-Stone from the Sack of Pet Supplies may be used to upgrade your cub to a rare quality one. There’s also a very small chance to obtain a general purpose Flawless Battle-Stone after winning a match against a wild pet while defeating higher level opponents increases the chances of obtaining a stone. Note that the latter are not soulbound and can be sold on the AH.
I’ve got to get busy moneymaking. I’m planning on making these mounts but it would help if I had some money when the time comes. Got to stop being so lazy!
LOL, love the Voltron cat comment.
I am super excited about these mounts. My hubby will be working overtime to make these for both of us!
